My Xmas Gift To Politically Correct Folks!
It's that time of year when we're all supposed to try to get along. We're all supposed to be more charitable and giving...That's right, it's towards the end of the year and we need to donate to charities to get the tax deductions for April 15th (yuck, yuck)!
I'm kidding; it's "Xmas" time. I've decided that, to do my "seasonal" bit I am going to be more kind in this blog to those who support political correctness. Therefore, I'll provide a list of things I MIGHT try to do in 2006 to make this a more politically correct world:
1) This blog I'll use "Xmas" instead of "Christmas" (see I'm off to a good start!).
2) I'll suggest free 401(k) accounts to illegal immigrants (sorry, "disenfranchised non-citizens"). We will, of course, allow pre-tax contributions from welfare checks.
3) In deference to those who may have ancestors from the U.K., I will boycott celebrating the 4th of July as "Independence Day" in the U.S. I don't think it's fair we rub our victory in the face of former Brits.
4) I'm shutting off scoring on all my Xbox sports games. I realize that in competition it's not whether I win or lose, rather, it's more important that I show up and get credit for being brave enough to say I was a member of a team.
5) I'm going to quit reading Maxim magazine because a woman's sexuality objectifies her. However...
6) I'm going to promote my wife's beauty and sexuality because her sexual independence empowers her (I might need help on which way to go on these two p.c.'rs).
7) I'm going to establish citizenship in another country, then protest any cultural events that don't mesh with mine.
This is a short list, but I think it will go a long way towards global political correctness. I, of course, will expect plenty of positive reinforcement to maintain my self-image while I pursue this self-inflicted quest.
Thank you.
